The Music Theatre Company is a nationally based ensemble committed to developing brave new musicals that engage the community of Highland Park and its surrounding areas by creating an ongoing social, cultural and political dialogue. TMTC strives to create theatre that is: daring, collaborative and innovative. Through educational programming we strive to provide the tools for creativity and expanding the imaginations of a generation. We believe that artists, teachers, and administrators should be compensated for their commitments. TMTC believes that the musical is a cathartic, communal, enlightening and entertaining experience and strives to contribute new works to the canon of one of the greatest American art forms: the musical.
